Without a Home
Inspiring and heartfelt tales of cat adoptions
We as humans don’t always put ourselves in the position we sometimes find ourselves inin the midst of a violent hurricane...in the middle of a deadly fire...suddenly lost without a job. We do, however, have the opportunity to come out of those situations with a positive note. In the event we find ourselves in a devastated state, we have places to turn. We have friends and families, government agencies, numerous charities, and often the generosity of businesses and other institutions. As humans, we have choices. No matter the path our lives seem to be taking, we can always change that path. We can change the hand we were dealt.
Animals...do not have that chance.
As humans...we can give up two of a kind in search of a full house. Animals do not have that shot at the cards. Animals cannot seek a higher education to improve their life. They cannot seek aid from any agency in the event of a natural disaster. They cannot flee to friends and family members if their lives take a turn for the worse. Animals cannot change the hand they were dealt. They rely solely on us...the human race. We hold their cards.
We have the responsibility to deal them a winning hand.
All animals, no matter the breed, size, or amount of fur on their bodies, have a heart and a soul. They also have a mindalbeit we may not always understand it. Anyone who has ever silently cried during a sad movie, only to have their cat come strolling down the stairs, walk directly up to their face, purr and start licking away their tears, knows that.
So...before you go looking for that “purrfect” cat to enter your life...Think Adoption First! Offer a cat the chance at a winning hand. Who knows...you might not find the “perfect” cosmetics, but you will surely find the “perfect” bond of adoration and love!
